The Soul Anemic

Subscribe to Grand Delusions
Tartuffe among us stands
Concealed in vast illusions
The blood upon his hands

Sanctimonious principate
Self-righteous to the core
Saturn’s rings will dissipate
Before I drink the lies you pour

Look down upon your brother
Diagnose him as all wrong
And as his flame you smother
That prescription proves too strong

A dissembler hides within our ranks
Lifestyle counterfeit
And washed ashore along the banks
Blood from throats he slit

Now floating by - the corpse of man
You helped lay to rest
No option but to end his span
Quiets torment in his chest

To live a life so free from sin
Must prove no easy task
While true life lies deep within
Beneath your pristine mask

As you’ve judged me, so I’ll judge you
By Grace I wish you well
If the grace you extend were the Grace you were due
You would surely burn in Hell

WHO CARES?

Just wondering.

"Hey, you lost a button!"

We all have fears as children. For most, it is the monster in the closet or under the bed. Others may fear storms or ghosts.

As a child, I always had a fear of my belly button coming unbuttoned - I would be left standing over a large pile of guts and organs with an overwhelming sense of doom and panic. I would be left to think, "OK? Now what?"

true AND false

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind

[Now] Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind.

How Will It End?

Willingly?
Happily?
Eagerly?
Regrettably?
Expectantly?
Instantly?
Sadly?
Yearningly?
Overwhelmingly?
Unexpectedly?
Recklessly?
Sacrificially?
Tragically?
Intentionally?
Naturally?
Gracefully?
?

Lost in Translation

Surrounded by many,
Invested in none. You make it
Clear that your limited
Knowledge is superior to
All else. Instead of Hope, you offer a
Noose to those who have failed or fail to be like you. Who would
Dare doubt the depth of your devotion?
Tell the world of your great
Intellect with scripted script. Seems your
Religious mind is rapidly
Evolving. Even
Darwin would be impressed. On the other hand, if it were the only
One on Earth, it would struggle to be the
Fittest. Your narcissistic self-evaluation
Yields an ego
Only a mother could love.
Understanding little of the world but "knowing" all
Reveals the true motive of your child-like
Babble. Your egocentric vanity leaves you trapped
Under a heap of growing
Lies. Your love of God and your
Love of self leaves no room for others. Your inflated
Self satisfaction climaxes with opprobrious contempt toward the
Highest form of worship.
I happen to know the Greek - it
Translates Bullshit!
